the educational experience

the last 2 weeks have been pretty.. dramatised.

i've also learnt quite a fair bit about myself in this short amount of time - the newest thing, reg requires communication. lots. the lack of it results in me over thinking things, and quadruple guessing myself

so here's a quick update re: ms thompson.

there was some issue with her employment pass (or lack thereof), and was being made to leave the country.
we agreed to meet up for dinner/dessert/tea. 3 days in a row, she blows me off.
just as i was getting shitfaced and annoyed at the sheer number of times she cancelled on me, she suggests breakfast this morning. so we did.
i even told my boss id be late for more time.

turned out brekkie was REALLY chop chop. She looked like she hadn't slept in days.

basically the company fucked up the Australian team's employment passes, and there were issues with the flights back to Canberra etc. they're now just hurriedly making the entire team (4 incl katt) leave singapore; they may or may not return here for continuation of project. her passport has been withheld - and don't know if they're officially listed as 'deported'..
it looks like she's either flying out tonight or tomorrow. and poor lewis is sorta just waiting in canberra for mom to get back..

quick hug and lousy kiss at the office lobby, and off she went.

we didn't really get a chance to 'talk' but given the circumstances, im so far below the priority list, it's completely understandable. im happy to settle for a post mortem talk instead. for now, i'll just let her handle her work shit. im just glad i got to see her before she leaves.

personally, im ending this journey and closing this chapter once and for all. it's the smart thing to do.

that said, it's all good. i learnt a heck of a lot of things from this katrina experience.. about myself, about life. lots. im glad this happened. no regrets. =)

one more thing though, i will not go out with a girl whose name starts with 'kat' ever again.
