i used to think that charmaine and i would be friends for life - that we'd grow up to be little old ladies with whoever our partners will be, but evidently that's not going to happen any more.
it's interesting how one person can jump in and change an old friendship so much so quickly.
suffice to say, best friends can break your heart too.
