The lion, to signify protection, loyalty, dependability, pride.
but in particular, the stance of the lion - looking back, as is to say "i'm looking out for you, i've got your back"
to incorporate some musicality in it, perhaps the lion's tail forming a treble clef. the clef below was one of my favourites. it doesnt have to be the exact same one (mainly because the treble clef is actually wrong), but more so the design and feel.
and finally, a fermata. not many people will get this reference.
if you're musical, you'll know that it means - to hold.
so now it's a matter of looking for a good design, rather, finding someone who can put these ideas across, and getting inked.
