lazy lahr.. can't be bothered to recount what's been happening here..
it's been an entire month/holiday of mundane daily activites:
sleep, eat, work.
i have been in melbourne for exactly 1year and 5days.
time flies..
it's cliche, but it really does feel like i was just packing for melb days ago.. hmmmm...
but im settled here now, with a cat no less.
honestly, lately i cannot imagine having to pack up and leave berwick...
i wonder if i'd feel the same if i lived in clayton.. or any other suburb in melbourne..
omg. dandenong. what if i lived in dandenong.. eeeeeeeeekk.
nah. berwick is cool.
apparently berwick is the new rich man's suburb..
supposedly, all the tradesmen and retirees who are filthy rich live here now..
just like they do in toorak among other pricey suburbs..
only thing is that berwick is in woopwoop.
(woopwoop - aussie slang for in the middle of nowhere)
anywaaaays..
this is what i did for CNY this year..
not much.. seeing as how i was virtually alone with everyone else with their respective families/partners/countries...
went with lisa to springvale for a lunar new year carnival thingamajig..
springvale is like little vietnam.. turns out the viets also celebrate CNY..
bakwa..
i swear, this was the worst bakwa i'd ever tasted.
but for some strange reason or other, lisa seemed to like it..
nothing beats good 'ol singaporean bakwa.
then there were stalls and rides and food and everything.. very cool carnival.. nothing like back home..
these were waaaaaaay cooler.. old school
roller coaster..
this was prolly one of the best rides ever..
just as you thought the ride was gonna end, it goes crazy all over again..
FUN!
then we friggin queued 1hour for stupid corn.
was all worth it.. i think?
this game.. never seen before.. you're supposed to aim and throw 20cent coins into the right spot.. if the coin fall in the right spot, you win money..
