so it's happened. im one of them lazy bloggers who blog every so often - only when necessary...
oh well.
there are valid explanations for this disappearance act though..
1) semester has started - it's currently week 4.
2) im still in band
3) im working
4) INTO THE WOODS MUSICAL!!!!
opening night is this thursday 10th august
go take a look www.mumco.org
5) rehersals for the musical - tiring but fun.
if there're any random melbournians reading this, COME watch Into The Woods!!!
the music's great!
it's on from the 10th till the 18th of august, 7.30pm, Drum Theatre, Dandenong Town Hall
tony the musical director for ITW asked if i were interested in playing in another musical.. YEESSS!!! im so totally doing it.. muahahahaaa!!!
the added bonus is that i'll be paid for each rehersal session i attend..
double yeah!!!
Tim's also asked if i wanted to play in monash uni's school of music band (i.e the band that all school of music students have to play in).
they're playing Shostakovich's Festive Overture.
bloody hell. i can't play for them cos their rehersal time clashes with 2 of my tutorials.. which i can't change cos the other classes are already full..
blah.
just as well.. i've too much on my plate at the moment anyhow.
one gripe i have because of this musical is that i won't be able to watch the webcast of NDP 2006 cos of the final dress rehersal before opening night.
this is the 1st time i'll miss the march past and fireworks.
-.-
i have, in the spirit of National Day, downloaded and listened to this year's theme song.
it's lovely.. but i swear, nothing beats tanya chua's Where I Belong.
=)
HAPPY BIRTHDAY SINGAPORE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
