did i tell yall im in the band again?
Monash Wind Symphony
fwahahahahaaaa!!!!
i love it.
but it's kinda different.. in a sense that, previously, in SP band, there were like 8 of us, and i could kinda hide in the back a bit.. like if i couldn't play a certain part well, i know that there's sueanne or mingwei to cover (which is quite bad on my part, cos sometimes i take for granted that there's them around)..
now, there's only me.
sole horn player.
cos the rest of the section are super uber smart medical students, who are either too busy with their med stuffs; or they have only time for orchestra.
stress.
i suppose it can be looked at as a challenge, but the fact that i have to sorta cover 4 horns is kinda daunting..
seeing as how i havnt played in over a year, my lung power aint that great..
practice.
i hope they manage to borrow a horn for me, then least i can practice.
oh yeah.. i didn't mention.. almost everyone in the band has their own instrument. woooooot.
the 1st week, so many asked me "don't you have your own horn??"
and im like.. even if i had my own horn, it wouldn't make any sense for me to bring it all the way from singapore.. duh.
haha..
anyways..
on another note (no pun intended),
my distaste for china peeps, in this case, china students, has again been reinforced.
i swear, no matter where they are, they just get on my nerves..
omg. they push and shove their way up the bus like there's no tomorrow. it's like they're still in china.
then when they speak chinese, omfg. it'll be the death of me. their tongues curl and curl and curl. just shut up already.
hee.
alrighty.
off to more band music listening
