a very exciting day i have to say.. lasting almost 9 hours from when he arrived to the clean up at night.. ha.
didn't manage to take any photos during the escapade.. just imagine you kitchen in a complete mess, basins filled with food, crap all over the floor.. any mess you name, we had it..
i even had to empty out a cupboard full of glassware so we could move the fridge. the sheer amount of glassware my mother has is unbelievable..
i don't remember when 3/4 of these were ever used. and i'll have to put all this junk back later.. tsk.
so fridge-uncle moved the fridge out so he could take the back of the fridge apart to see what was wrong.. see the floor here,
it's now super clean. before, what you see here was completly BLACK.

he found that it was the inside fan that was giving the problem.

to salvage some of the food, i went out hunting for styrofoam boxes..
i stole a couple from a closed-for-the-day vege shop at serangoon central.. hee.
tada!! the coolpak is ours..
and there you go.. like having a bbq eh..
the rest of the food - seafood, whole chicken.. mom cooked them all and gave to kokwai's family ta eat..
spent the whole evening cleaning out the fridge contents..
i must've found at least 10 bottled food that's almost 6years old sitting in there.. like an ice burial for food..
ha.
