omg. i swear black singers are DA BOMB. seriously.
my goodness. they sure have lungs of steel. absolutely amazing.
my favourite was the lady who played maureen.
a few technical glitches here and there. mics not working, music over powering singers in the 1st number..
and i have to say.. professional stage actors are amazing.
her head-piece mic didnt work, and she had to use the conventional hand held one.. she had to sing AND perform a tango, she stuck the mic in between her boobies as support, so her voice would still be projected..
VERY SMART!!! I LIKE.
so other than that, everything else was wonderful except one asian lady:
i think Life section gave Ms Karen Mok a very very very lenient review if you ask me..
no more musicals for you milady.
holy crap. she completely BUTCHERED wonderful numbers of this play.
sure, she can sing slow ballads and lower toned pieces.. but give her a fast high pitched song, and you can dig yourself a grave.
yeah.. it was that bad.
dunno.. i think ms mok might've put charmaine off musicals forever.
haha.
now, im just waiting for the movie to arrive in singapore.
