some excerpts from the letter
"Mr. Chay is often unable to answer questions related to the topic, on the spot. He is unsure of the meanings of certain phrases and even words. He fails to effectively convey key terms, concepts and thinking processes to the students. There have been many occasions during which Mr. Chay has undoubtedly misunderstood the readings and explained to the class wrongly, which has proven to be incredibly confusing, as well as annoying for many students. Often, students are lost by some of the things he said with regards to the subject matter, and we recognise that there has been little or no lesson planning, nor any depth in his teaching."
"COM 1020 Introduction to Communication Studies is a subject that contains many controversial topics. Mr Chay is uncomfortable, apologetic, and blushes every time he has to mention words like 'bitch' or 'gay'. The very nature of the programme is in its application and study of controversy, be it in discourse, or the application of communication as an industry. Mr. Chay is completely lost in both these fields."
